Join us this weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May
18-20, for an event-filled weekend in and around Stockholm.
Take the self-guided Fresh Art spring tour of
fourteen artists’ studios and galleries.
This is a rare opportunity to meet artists where they work and talk with
them face-to-face about their creations.
Artists who work with paintings, clay, jewelry, hand-forged metal, and
fiber are inviting you into their studios from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day,
Friday through Sunday. You can find plants
and garden art for sale from many of the artists, too. Abode Gallery in Stockholm is participating
with a feature of the paintings of J R. Lince-Hopkins who has a studio in the
Stockholm area.
Check out the antiques in the orchard offered by twenty-five plus dealers of Early Americana who will be set up inside and under a big tent at Maiden Rock Apples/Cidery and Winery . The preview is Friday, May 18, from 5 – 8 p.m. and costs $15. Saturday, May 19, the event is from 9 – 5, and Sunday the hours are 11-4. Admittance is $5 each day.
Enjoy an evening of music from Prairie Home Companion's ButchThompson and Pat Donohue on Saturday, May 19. Butch Thompson on piano and
Grammy-award-winning, fingerstyle guitarist Pat Donohue will play blues, jazz,
and original music. You will get a preview
of tunes from their new CD, "Vicksburg Blues." Local favorites, the Ditchlilies, will open
the evening. Tickets are $18. Kids 12 and under are free.
See the new spring merchandise in the shops and stop by an
eatery for a refreshing break.
We’d love to see you again,
