This weekend, May 17-19, twelve studios and galleries in the Lake Pepin and Chippewa River Valley are offering the rare opportunity for you to visit, talk with their artists, and see where the artists work during the Fresh Art Tour. As you wind through the hills and valleys of Western Wisconsin traveling from one studio to another on this self-guided tour, colorful wildflowers and blankets of trillium will border your path. Delight in the beauty of May and the spectacular work of these artists this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Find out more here.
Next Saturday, May 25, learn how to make your own wood-fired brick oven. If you love pizza from a wood-fired brick oven, attend this class so that you can make it at home. David S. Cargo, who will be conducting the class, notes, “The relatively low cost of the oven designs provided in my class allows people to try baking in a wood-fired oven without the long time and higher expense of traditional mortared ovens. People in my classes are amazed at how easy it is and how good the results are.” With your own brick oven, you could have wood-fired brick oven pizza parties this summer!
Running Dog Ranch is hosting David’s class. Go here to find out more.
