We invite you to sit in our gazebo, enjoy a stunning view of Lake Pepin, and relax with a glass of our cider or wine.  We built Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery near the Maiden Rock nature area with you in mind.  We knew that you would be awe-struck by the view, as we had been.  The first time that we saw it, we thought  A book of verse beneath the apple bough, a loaf of bread, a glass of cider or wine, and thou.

Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery is the first winery in Pepin County and one of only a handful of cideries in the Upper Midwest.  We craft distinctive hard ciders in the Old English style, such as Scrumpy and Bitter Love.

We grow a variety of apples including Chisel Jersey, Brown Snout, and Medaille d’Or specifically for use in making our hard ciders.  Although we have only been in business since 2008, several of our ciders and wines have won awards in international competitions.

Along with our complimentary daily tastings of cider and wine, we feature food tastings on a regular basis.  Each fall you can savor special tastings at our Lake Pepin Food, Wine, and Cider Festival, this year on September 22, and our Medieval Feast and Wassailing of the Apple Trees, this year on December 1. We are also a founding member of the Great River Road Wine Trail which offers two yearly events with food pairings.  We welcome you to these events and encourage you to attend.  Come and pick your own apples and pumpkins this fall, too.

Between now and then, stop by, get a glass of cider or wine, sit back, and enjoy the view.  Bring your friends and family.

We’d love to see you again,
